Leica & Hasselblad Wedding

Amy and Mike kindly invited me to cover their wedding photography at Warwick House, Southam in the UK.  The wedding was digital photography only (no film photography) and I used my trusty digital Leica M240 rangefinder camera and also my recently purchased digital Hasselblad camera.  I was super excited to use the Hasselblad H3D-31 for it’s first wedding!

Chesterton Windmill Wedding Photos

To my delight Amy and Mike had a mutual interested in making beautiful wedding photos.  They asked if we could take time our during the wedding day to visit Chesterton Windmill in Warwickshire for some posed wedding portrait pictures.  I of course said yes and I wish every couple had a similar vision of making arty wedding photos in a stunning locations.  Surely every wedding photographers dream wedding whether the photos are at a windmill or a beach!

Wedding Photographers

Not every couple are that interested in their wedding photos and booking a wedding photographer can sometimes seem like a tick box exercise such as ordering a wedding car or wedding flowers.  I do struggle when a wedding couple have little interest in their photos as I am the polar opposite.  I am extremely passionate about my photography to the point of completely obsessed.  I think about pictures, photography and cameras morning til night every day and am always getting excited about trying my next new photo idea!  Yes perhaps I just need to get out more!  I think I can safely say I am always genuinely more excited about a couple’s wedding photography than the couple themselves! 🙂
