Coventry Wedding Photographer – Location Shoot
Venue for Engagement Session: Bishops Park, Fulham, London
I caught the train from Coventry and met Alex and Andy on a wet morning in November on Fulham Palace Road. We decided to grab a coffee in a hope the rain would blow over. It gave us chance to get to know each other and for me to explain the cameras I would be using. I had the digital Leica M9 to capture the majority of the photos and also my 1950s Leica M3 film camera. I had a part roll of black and white Kodak T-Max 100 to finish in the camera and would then shoot colour film, Fujicolor C200. I normally use Kodak Portra but C200 can be quite nice too.
We were in luck. The rain stopped so we took a walk along the bank of the River Thames in an area known as Bishops Park and I got shooting. I have a very relaxed photography style and I would like to think that Alex and Andy were soon at ease in front of the camera. My small Leica cameras are very friendly and in no way intimidating so all in all it lead to a fun and sucessful morning. I left London with a smile and felt very fortunate to have met two very kind and genuine people. I had never met Alex and Andy until today but the morning was like enjoying good company with friends. I am now counting down to Alex and Andy’s wedding in 2015!
