2020 Leica Wedding Photography

2020 as we all know, was a bit of a write off! It was the year that most public gatherings stopped including weddings. All my 2020 Leica wedding photography was postponed so I don’t have any weddings to share with you from this year.

2020 Bridal Look Photography

As the UK lockdowns were not from January 1st 2020 – December 31st 2020 I was still able to organise a few photoshoots during the periods we were allowed out. Here are a series of images from one of my model photoshoots in Poland that have a bit of a unplanned bridal feel to them (I thought!).

Bridal Photoshoots

Bridal shoots are a great way for me to show you what can be possible on your wedding day (in terms of photography). If you enjoy being in front of a camera we can create some beautiful stylised wedding photos perfect for both your Instagram feed and your wedding album!

If you don’t like the idea of being in front of the camera I can still create something similar for you which will be painfree I promise! 🙂 I direct you but it will all look very natural. Something like “Just walk over towards that tree and XYZ” ..and I do the rest.

Leica Engagement Shoot

For me engagement photography can be two things. It can be the bride and groom to be coming for their pre-wedding photoshoot (see below)(the most common explanation for an engagement shoot) or it can be similar to a bridal shoot where you and your friend/ partner come for a pre-engagement shoot / fun stylised fashion shoot.

If you are on this website there is a chance you are interested in making nice wedding photos. (I say that as for some weddings, photography might just be a tick box exercise and of not great importance). I’m probably better suited to wedding couples who plan their wedding venue, wedding dress and even the wedding flowers all to look as photogenic as possible. I get excited as you about your wedding and the oppotunity to make the best possible photos!

Tips to making beautiful wedding photos.. for you!

After around 10 years of wedding photography the best three tips I can give any couple to help us produce the nicest possible wedding photos on the day are –

  1. Book an engagement shoot / pre-wedding photoshoot to get to know me and the cameras before the wedding day! (The feedback I receive confirms this is a must-have to allow you to forget the camera on your wedding day. Then you can just enjoy it!).
  2. Allocate time in your wedding itinerary for both group photos AND a few posed couple photos. The day will be over before you know it so if you don’t set time aside for these photos then there is a good chance we won’t get the opportunity.
  3. Smile! Often people are happy on the inside but unless we can see it on the outside too the camera cannot capture it! 🙂

Getting Married? Let’s discuss your wedding!

Planning your wedding day and browsing the internet for a wedding photographer? Please get in contact, UK or abroad.. I’d be happy to help!

I’m a YouTuber photographer too!

If you want to see the face behind the wedding photos you can find me teaching photography on YouTube. I go by the name of “MrLeica” because of the blog I setup in 2013 – MrLeica.com and the camera brand I use.
